Drills demonstrate solidity of Ukrainian air defense - Muzhenko
Russia has exhibited a keen interest in the Ukrainian exercises held in the Kherson region and has seen that Ukraine's air defense is solid, Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff Chief Viktor Muzhenko said.
The Russian military were closely monitoring Ukrainian missile drills at the range on the Yahorlyk Kut Peninsula. "Planes were there, and ships were anchored to watch the launch. I think they have also seen that air defense is solid in present-day Ukraine," he said on the TSN channel.
According to the Ukrainian military, the exercises tested air defense systems restored at Ukrainian defense plants, including S-300 missile launchers.
"We have tested the hardware with an extended service life. Our, Ukrainian enterprises gave maintenance to that hardware, enabled its modification to a degree, and broadened the range of its use," Ukrainian Air Force Commander Serhiy Drozdov said.
