Kuchma sees no possibility of settling conflict in Donbas without U.S.'s involvement

The United States should join the negotiating process on peaceful settlement of the conflict in Donbas, Leonid Kuchma, the second Ukrainian president, Kyiv's representative in the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk, said.

"If there is no will of these countries, if the United States does not join this cause in full, there will be nothing. And if once again all the countries play at peace and friendship, some local problems will be resolved, and the Ukrainian problem will be left aside, we will remain in the condition we are now," Kuchma told journalists during a working trip to Zakarpattia region.
