ORDLO confirms information on 57 hostages, no compromise on their release

Humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) so far has failed to reach a compromise on the issue of the hostages’ release held in the ORDLO (occupied areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions). They demand to release more and more of their people at each meeting, Verkhovna Rada First Vice-Speaker, Ukrainian representative to the Trilateral Contact Group's humanitarian subgroup Iryna Gerashchenko has said.

"The Ukrainian side has made a specific proposal for the release of several seriously ill and elderly people, in particular, religious scholar and historian Ihor Kozlovsky as his health has significantly deteriorated. Unfortunately, we received an emphatic refusal by the representatives of the ORDLO. There is no compromise so far on our proposals for the release of 57 other hostages, whose detention was confirmed by ORDLO," she said on her Facebook page.

According to Gerashchenko, the ORDLO demands the release of more than 700 people (each meeting more) who have committed crimes against Ukraine, including felonies. This list consists of killers and those who do not have any respect to the conflict in Donbas, but are involved in the terrorist attacks in Odesa and Kharkiv.
