Government approves draft agreement with EU on provision of aid to Ukraine to fight corruption
Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers has approved the draft agreement with the European Union (EU) to finance the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative in Ukraine.
An Interfax-Ukraine correspondent has reported that the decision was made at a government meeting on Wednesday.
"The draft resolution proposes to approve the draft agreement and authorize the deputy prime minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration to sign it," First Deputy Economic Development and Trade Minister Maksym Nefyodov said.
He said that the agreement is to be signed on November 24 at the Ukraine-EU Summit.
As reported, the EU and Denmark are providing EUR 16 million to support the EU Anti-Corruption Initiative in Ukraine, including EUR 15 million from the EU and EUR 1 million from Denmark.
