Pecherskyi District Court finds MP's accusations against Yanukovych's son of involvement in Maidan killings false
Kyiv's Pecherskyi District Court found information that a son of former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych, Oleksandr, was allegedly involved in killings in the Maidan square, spread by Anton Gerashchenko, Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada deputy and advisor to interior minister, on November 18, 2014, inaccurate and humiliating honor, dignity and business reputation.
In her ruling delivered on Friday, Judge Tetyana Ostapchuk found the following statement made by Gerashchenko at a press conference inaccurate: "For today, almost the entire picture is clear. We clearly understand that arranging mass murders, President Yanukovych, his son Oleksandr are behind that. Use of firearms by policemen would be impossible without their order."
The court ordered the Interior Ministry to report on its website about this decision within one month from the day it comes into effect.
