Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov thanked Khatia Dekanoidze, who resigned from her post of the Ukrainian National Police chief, for her work and said that Vadym Troyan will become an acting chief of the National Police.
"I respect Khatia's decision to begin a new stage in her life and wish her success. I am grateful to Khatia for joint work and trials which we passed together. Vadym Troyan will serve as an acting police chief," Avakov wrote on Facebook.
Troyan is first deputy chief of Ukraine's National Police.
