Ukrainian National Police employees have put on alert because of protests planned for November 15-27 in Kyiv and Kharkiv. The corresponding order was signed by the National Police Head Khatia Dekanoidze.
According to the National Police Communication Department of Ukraine, on Monday during a conference call, Deputy Interior Minister Serhiy Yarovy said there are a number of events scheduled from November 15 to November 27. Odesa will host the football match between Ukrainian and Serbian national teams on November 15.
Yarovy said that the staff of the National Guard, the State Border Service, State Emergency Service of Ukraine, bomb disposal experts will be involved to ensure public safety.
In addition, large numbers of people are expected to attend the events. Safety measures will be strengthened on roads, he said.
"The police will be on duty in the emergency mode by November 27," the statement says.
