Ukraine may learn decision on visa free regime by Nov 24
Ukraine's Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin doesn’t exclude the possibility to obtain a decision on the liberalization of visa regime between Ukraine and the EU before the summit on November 24.
"Everyone perfectly understands that there must be a mechanism to respond to migration risks not only with regard to Ukraine, but in relation to any state. I believe that the European Parliament and Member States have a chance to find a compromise until the end of the year ... The question revolves around when countries of the European Parliament will be able to reach a compromise. If they can do it next week, then we, certainly, have a chance," Klimkin said at 1 plus 1 TV channel on Sunday.
The minister also said that the last week the European Parliament held discussions on the procedures for the suspension of the agreement on visa free regime with third countries, but the agreements had not been reached yet.
