Ukrainian army reports 54 attacks on its positions in Donbas

Ukrainian army positions in Donbas came under 54 attacks in the past 24 hours, the anti-terrorist operation press center said on Facebook on Wednesday morning.

Thirty-two attacks by use of small arms, grenade launchers, weapons of infantry combat vehicles and 82mm and 120mm mortars were observed in the Mariupol sector. The attacks were launched on Taramchuk, Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Talakivka, Novotroitske, Berezove, Lebedynske, Shyrokyne, Pavlopil and Stepne, it said.

Ukrainian army positions came under 16 attacks of small arms, weapons of infantry combat vehicles and 120mm mortars in the Luhansk area. Attacks were seen in Stanytsia Luhanska, Zhovte, Krymske, Novooleksandrivka, Kosharne, Kalynove and Popasna.

Meanwhile, heavy machineguns, grenade launchers, weapons of infantry combat vehicles and 82mm and 120mm mortars fired on Luhanske, Avdiyivka, Zaitseve and Novhorodske, it said.
