Poltorak tells Salaru that Ukraine respects Moldovan desire to withdraw Russian military base from its territory
Ukrainian Defense Minister Army General Stepan Poltorak has held a working meeting with Defense Minister of the Republic of Moldova Anatol Salaru.
As the Ukrainian Defense Ministry's press service reported on Monday, the defense ministers discussed cooperation between the defense ministries of Ukraine and Moldova and prospects of its expansion.
"Poltorak said that Ukraine respects the territorial integrity of the Republic of Moldova and supports the efforts of the Moldovan people to withdraw the Russian military base from the territory of the country," the statement says.
