Court bars MP Vinnyk from going abroad because of debts to banks
Kyiv's Appeals Court on October 19 ruled to bar Member of Parliament Ivan Vinnyk from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc parliamentary faction from going abroad in connection with UAH 370.999 million (about $14 million) in debts owed to Kyiv-based Alfa Bank and Dnipro-based PrivatBank.
In keeping with the court's ruling, the ban will be in effect until the debts have been cleared.
During a court hearing on the Vinnyk case, a representative of Alfa Bank said that the MP owns a quarter of a flat, four small-sized vessels, but he is concealing that he owns this property.
