Government increases its salaries to UAH 100,000 retroactively - Tymoshenko
Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers in July 2016 increased its salaries and the president's salary and ordered to pay them retroactively, starting from May 1, Head of Batkivschyna parliamentary faction Yulia Tymoshenko has said.
"This Cabinet resolution was passed secretly on July 27. Mr. Groysman [Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman] considerably increase salaries of the president, his personal salary, and all ministers to the unacceptable levels, while he titled at parliament – and this is the right thing – for increasing salaries for lawmakers," Tymoshenko said in parliament on Tuesday.
The politician said that the government members today receive up to UAH 100,000 with all bonuses.
Moreover, she said that the government obliged to pay the salary retroactively – from May 1.
"They accrued the salary backdating for two or three months. This is a criminal case," she said.
