Poroshenko introduces new governor in Zhytomyr region
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko on Thursday introduced new head of Zhytomyr Regional State Administration Ihor Hundych.
The introduction was part of the president's agenda during his working visit to the city of Zhytomyr on Thursday.
Hundych was selected governor on a competitive basis, the president said.
As reported, on August 31, 2016, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko signed an order to dismiss Serhiy Mashkovsky, who occupied the post of Zhytomyr Regional State Administration's head for more than two years, after Mashkovsky filed in his resignation.
On the same day, Poroshenko appointed deputy head of Zhytomyr Regional State Administration Ihor Hundych as acting governor.
Hundych, born in Zhytomyr on December 28, 1975, graduated from Zhytomyr Institute of Engineering and Technology, majoring in management and was qualified as an economist and a manager.
