Contact group on Ukraine to discuss new security zones in Donbas on October 26
The contact group on Ukraine in Minsk on Wednesday will focus on discussing new security zones on the contact line in Donbas.
"There are two important issues on the agenda that are related to security. The first one is that there is a need to determine the reasons that prevented the completion of the implementation of the disengagement on three pilot sections, and the second is the work on new security zones on the contact line," the subgroup on security told Interfax.
In the meantime, the issue of the sending of an armed OSCE mission to Donbas is not on the agenda of the contact group meeting on October 26. "Such an issue is not declared for the agenda and will not be discussed," the source said.
A relevant OSCE decision is needed to submit the issue to the contact group for discussion, the source said.
"All OSCE member countries have to approve such a decision first and then it can be submitted to the contact group. None of that has happened so far," the source said.
