Ukraine, Hungary sign joint plan to prevent emergencies
Ukraine and Hungary have signed a joint plan to prevent emergencies approved on Thursday in Budapest at the fifth meeting of the permanent Ukraine-Hungary joint committee for Emergency Response Coordination.
The communications department of Ukraine's Interior Ministry reported that the action plan signed to meet the agreement between the Ukrainian and Hungarian governments is intended to establish cooperation and provision of mutual aid in the emergency prevention and response sphere.
"The signing of the new action plan is one of the important aspects of joint work in civil protection and an effective mechanism aimed at developing all around cooperation," Head of Ukraine's State Emergencies Service Mykola Chechetkin said.
The bilateral meeting was held with participation of Chechetkin and Head of National Directorate General for Disaster Management of the Interior Ministry of Hungary Zoltan Gora. The heads of the delegations came to an arrangement to continue tight cooperation.
Hungary presented an integrated emergency response system with three directions: civil defense, industrial safety and firefighting.
