Putin basically agreed to deployment of armed OSCE mission in Donbas at Berlin talks
Russian President Vladimir Putin basically agreed to deployment of an armed mission of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in Donbas and offered to use Germany's presidency in OSCE to elaborate in the matter specifically, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
"Armed [OSCE mission], police OSCE mission... One can call it whatever they want. Putin basically agreed to deployment of such mission during the negotiations. And there is common understanding. In this situation Vladimir Putin said that it is necessary to use Germany's current presidency in OSCE to intensify the elaboration on this matter," Peskov told reporters on Thursday.
Peskov said "there is an understanding of a positive effect of such deployment [of an OSCE mission], but it needs to be elaborated within the framework of the OSCE."
