Poroshenko discusses strengthening sanctions against Russia with Schultz
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has discussed with European Parliament President Martin Schulz the possibility of strengthening sanctions against Russia in the context of human rights violations in Crimea.
During Thursday meeting in Brussels, the sides discussed the need to maintain the policy of sanctions against Russia before restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine, the press-service of the Ukrainian president said.
"They were also discussing the possibility of strengthening the restrictive measures against Russia in the context of human rights violations in Crimea," the report says.
