Ukrainian side doesn’t remove forces from Stanytsia Luhanska with 'enemy not observing ceasefire'

As of Wednesday morning, Ukraine has not removed its forces and equipment from Stanytsia Luhanska in view of the enemy not having observed the ceasefire for seven days, Donbas operation headquarters spokesman Viktor Shubets told Interfax.

"Under the agreements, the ceasefire should last seven days. But we are not losing hope that the opposite side will honor its obligations, and then the separation of forces and equipment will take place," he said.

He said of the current situation in the Stanytsia Luhanska area: "Yesterday there was no shelling there" and "it was also quiet there between midnight and ten in the morning."

Representatives of the Luhansk People's Republic said earlier they were ready for another attempt to withdraw forces and equipment in the Stanytsia Luhanska area on October 19.
