Poroshenko, Swedish PM discuss acceleration of granting visa-free regime to Ukrainians
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko during a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of Sweden Stefan Lofven have discussed the acceleration of providing visa-free regime for the Ukrainians and the completion of the ratification process of the Association Agreement.
As reported on the official website of the Ukrainian president, the sides also coordinated their positions on priority issues of cooperation between Ukraine and the EU on the eve of the European Council meeting which is to be held in Brussels on October 20-21.
The head of state informed the Swedish premiere on the security situation in Donbas and urged Sweden to follow Norway and officially recognize the fact of Russia's aggression against Ukraine.
Poroshenko and Lofven also confirmed the importance of the EU unity in the issue of sanctions preservation against Russia until the full restoration of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
