Poroshenko, Merkel agree to hold Ukraine-Germany-France conference call soon
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and German Chancellor Angela Merkel agreed during a phone conversation on Thursday evening to hold a conference call among the leaders of Ukraine, Germany and France soon.
"The officials agreed to hold a three-way conference call among the leaders of Ukraine, Germany and France in the coming days," the press service of the Ukrainian president reported on Thursday evening.
In addition, the Ukrainian president and the German chancellor discussed the ways to speed up the introduction of the EU visa-free regime for Ukrainians and the ratification of the Association Agreement.
When speaking about the situation in Donbas, Poroshenko told Merkel the number of attacks by Russian militants had increased, especially at night. He also stressed the importance of putting permanent OSCE observation station in the areas of disengagement of forces.
