Poroshenko to handover military hardware to Ukrainian servicemen in Kharkiv on Saturday
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said Ukrainian military servicemen will get another batch of weapons and equipment on Saturday, October 15.
"Tomorrow, I will continue the tradition of public handover of equipment and weapons to the army. This time, these will be military and transport aircraft, missile and artillery weapons, tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, armored personnel carriers, trucks and vehicles of logistics support," he said during the celebrations to mark Defender of Ukraine Day on Friday morning in the center of Kyiv.
The president also said that he plans to meet with Ukrainian servicemen of the 6th wave of mobilization who have recently been discharged.
According to the information available to Interfax-Ukraine, Poroshenko will visit Kharkiv region on Saturday where he will handover the military hardware and present the new regional governor, Yulia Svitlychna, who is currently working as acting head of the regional administration.
