Russia increases tension in Baltic Sea region - Lithuanian ambassador
By moving Iskander missile complex to Kaliningrad region, Russia is raising tension in the Baltic Sea region, Lithuanian Ambassador to Ukraine Marius Janukonis has said.
"Of course such actions by Russia cause concern and this means a certain tension is building up in the region," the ambassador said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine commenting on the transfer of the Iskander missile complex to Russia's Kaliningrad region.
He also said Lithuania has taken steps with NATO's assistance to increase its defense capability.
"We believe in NATO and feel safe," Janukonis said.
