Netherlands unlikely to ratify Ukraine-EU Association Agreement before November summit
Ratification by all EU member states of the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement is unlikely before the Ukraine-EU summit, which is planned for November 24, the new head of the European Union's Delegation to Ukraine, Ambassador Huges Mingarelli has said.
"Some 27 of 28 EU countries have ratified the association agreement between Ukraine and the EU. A problem has arisen with one of the countries. I can't say whether the problem can be solved before November 24, but it seems to me that it is unlikely that the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement will be ratified by all 28 countries before the summit," Mingarelli said on Monday during a press conference in Kyiv.
The majority of voters in a referendum held in the Netherlands in April voted against ratifying the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement.
