Court says info, on basis of which ex-Justice Minister Lukash was put on sanctions list, unreliable
The Kyiv Court of Appeals has upheld the complaint of former Justice Minister of Ukraine Olena Lukash, recognizing the information used to put her on the EU sanctions list unreliable.
"The Kyiv Court of Appeals has fully satisfied my appeal. The Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) lost the argument," Lukash wrote on her Facebook page.
The ex-minister noted in March 2014 the EU Council on the basis of a letter from the PGO introduced a sanctions list against former Ukrainian high-ranking officials, including Lukash.
At the same time, she stressed there were no reasons for that.
"My family and me do not have and are not going to have any assets abroad. But, nevertheless, the PGO in the request for sanctions boldly stated there is a fact of misappropriation of public funds by me and bringing these funds abroad," Lukash wrote, adding that the European court on the basis of data from the PGO applied sanctions against her.
