Militants violating truce, even in areas designated for weapons withdrawal
Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Viktor Muzhenko at a meeting with Principal Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) to Ukraine Alexander Hug has said militants continue attacks and provocations, even in certain areas allocated for withdrawal of weapons in Donbas.
"Ukrainian troops strictly adhere to the ceasefire regime, but the enemy, even in the areas for the withdrawal of weapons, continues attacks and provocations," Muzhenko said.
At the same time, he noted that "the withdrawal of troops and heavy weapons from the demarcation line is possible only if there is a sustainable ceasefire."
