Poroshenko: Israel's experience of development amid constant external aggression valuable for Ukraine
Israel's experience of development amid foreign aggression and terrorist threats is very valuable for Ukraine, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has said.
"Harmony is the word that can succinctly describe current relations between Ukraine's Jews and other ethnic groups, as well as the relations of our country with Israel. The example of the state of Israel is extremely valuable for us: its ability not to survive but develop dynamically in the conditions of constant external aggression and maintain democracy, the ability to fight back terrorist threats, the ability to build an innovative economy, the experience of national and cultural revival," the president said at the event marking the 75th anniversary of the tragedy of Babyn Yar victims in Kyiv.
According to him, the tragic events of the past require people to bring up new generations on the principles of respect for human dignity and tolerance.
