EU Council chief to visit Kyiv, most meetings due on Thursday
The president of the European Council, Donald Tusk, will arrive in Kyiv on Wednesday, on a two-day visit at the invitation of the Ukrainian government, a spokesperson for the EU delegation to Ukraine said.
On Thursday, September 29, Tusk will meet with Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman and President Petro Poroshenko, the spokesperson said in a statement on Wednesday.
The leaders will discuss the relations between the European Union and Ukraine, including visa liberalization, implementation of the Minsk agreements and the Ukrainian reform agenda, according to the statement.
On the same day, Tusk will attend a memorial ceremony on the occasion of the 75th anniversary since the Babi Yar tragedy.
