Kyiv's enactment of legislation on Donbas elections, region's specials status needed - French foreign minister

French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault reminds of the need for Ukraine to grant the special status to Donbas that is one of the key conditions of the Minsk Agreements.

"The political condition is the drafting and endorsement of the Ukrainian bill on local elections in Donbas and the granting of the special status to this region," Ayrault told a briefing with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin and German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Kyiv on Wednesday.
