Poroshenko calls for transfer of defense technologies, lethal weapons to Ukraine
Intensification of military-technical and defense cooperation will allow Ukraine to be geared up in case of a full-scale invasion from abroad, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said.
"Facilitating consolidation of the Ukrainian national defense capability through intensification of military-technical and defense cooperation, transfer of defense technologies, providing us with lethal weaponry, at least in the event of a full-scale invasion on the part of Russia, which we certainly do not rule out and for which we must be firmly prepared at all times," Poroshenko said in his annual address to the Verkhovna Rada, the Ukrainian Parliament, in Kyiv on Tuesday.
