Ukraine's Minister of Interior Arsen Avakov did not answer directly questions relating to the investigation of murdered journalist Pavel Sherement in Kyiv more than a month ago, but believes there are chances to crack the case.
"There are chances to investigate the case. But this is all that I am willing to say," Avakov told TV Channel 1plus1 on Sunday, Sept. 4.
The minister said two large brigades of investigators are working on the case.
"Unfortunately, video clips made public hampered the investigation. So, I can only say one thing: This is a vicious, well-planned assassination," Avakov said.
On July 20, 2016 famous journalist Sheremet died in the center of Kyiv when the car he was driving blew up. The time of the explosion was 7.45. The vehicle, he was driving, belonged to co-founder of the Internet news portal Ukrainska Pravda Olena Prytula, who was not in the car.
