Several people injured in arson at Inter television studio - center's director
Several people were injured in the fire that has been sparked at the building housing of the National Information Systems (NIS) Company, which is producing the programs for the Inter TV channel, NIS director (part of Inter Media Group) Oleksandr Pylypets said.
"At the backdrop of numerous threats against the TV channel the authorities did not act [...] Multiple petitions to the law enforcement structures, prosecution's office, cabinet of ministers, presidential administration resulted in nothing. More of it! High-ranking officials in the ministerial seats have nearly openly called for violent actions against employees of the channel and its manufacturing facility! The result is the burnt TV complex and injured people," he wrote on his Facebook page on Sunday evening.
Later, asked by a social network user, Pylypets said that all the people who had stayed in the building during the arson were alive, but "there are severe injuries." "Many people have been poisoned by heavy smoke. The ambulances are working at the scene," the NIS director said.
