Poroshenko appoints acting governor in Zhytomyr region
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has signed an order to appoint deputy head of Zhytomyr Regional State Administration Ihor Hundych as acting governor.
Respective presidential Order No. 377/2016 was signed on August 31 and was posted on the presidential website in the early hours of September 1.
Poroshenko on Wednesday, August 31, signed an order to dismiss Serhiy Mashkovsky, who occupied the post of Zhytomyr Regional State Administration's head.
Mashkovsky, who worked as governor for more than two years, resigned on August 16.
He pledged to answer all the questions related to his resignation after his resignation letter had been signed by the president.
