Ukrainian General Staff Chief calls opening of case in Russia against him recognition of his services
Viktor Muzhenko, the head of the Ukrainian General Staff, has called the opening of a criminal case in Russia against him "wonderful news."
"It's wonderful news for me. I see it as recognition of my services to the Russian Federation," he told reporters in Kyiv on Wednesday.
According to earlier reports, a criminal case was opened in Russia against Ukrainian General Staff Chief Viktor Muzhenko, former commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Ground Forces Anatoliy Pushniakov, incumbent Ground Forces Commander Serhiy Popko, and Ukrainian National Guard Commander Yuriy Allerov on the basis of article of the Russian Criminal Code dealing with the use of forbidden means and methods of war.
