The court arrested the mayor of Romny with an UAH 145,500 bail option, satisfying a petition of the Military Prosecutors' Office of the Sumy military post in Ukraine's central sector.
The mayor is notified that he is under suspicion under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (receiving a bribe in especially great amount by an authorized person in responsible position), the press service of the Military Prosecutors' Office of the Sumy military post reported.
The mayor of the town of Romny in Sumy region has been caught red-handed taking a UAH 50,000 bribe. He was detained on August 18.
