Poroshenko, Biden reiterate importance of continuing efforts to fully implement Minsk agreements
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and U.S. Vice President Joe Biden had a phone call and the leaders discussed security at the administrative border with Crimea and in Donbas where militants continue shelling, including with banned heavy weapons, and large-scale military drills near the Russian-Ukrainian border.
"Poroshenko and Biden pointed out the importance of continuing efforts, including as part of the Normandy format, aimed at implementing the Minsk agreements by Russia, in particular, in the security sphere," the press service of the Ukrainian president reported on the official website late on Friday.
