Lutsenko says incident between NABU and Prosecutor's General Office to be investigated by SBU as unbiased measure
Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko has announced that all materials related to an incident between employees of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).and the Prosecutor General's Office have been transferred to the SBU Security Service of Ukraine for an unbiased investigation.
"To ensure an objective investigation in this incident, I, as prosecutor general within my authority, will transfer all proceedings commenced on this incident to the SBU, as was proposed by NABU Director [Artem] Sytnyk," Lutsenko said at a joint press briefing with the NABU head in Kyiv on Thursday.
Deputy Prosecutor General Anzhela Stryzhevska will be in charge of procedural control over the case.
Representatives of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine (SAP) and Advisor to the PGO, former U.S. Federal Prosecutor and Assistant Attorney Bohdan Vitvitsky will be incorporated into the investigation group, Lutsenko said.
