The State Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has exposed a former top manager of Bank Kyivska Rus for embezzlement of $44 million.
The banker has been put on the international wanted list.
"The law enforcers have found that the official, in particular, sold two office buildings in Kyiv and Lviv, which were pledged to Bank Kyivska Rus, for a mere song. The deal was carried out in March 2016 a day prior to the introduction of temporary administration in the bank. The top manager was informed about suspicion of committing a crime under Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He has been put on the international wanted list," the SBU press center said.
