-tender among cities to host Eurovision 2017 could be completed in a couple of weeks
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko expects the tender among the cities to host the Eurovision 2017 international song contest to finish in a week or two.
"I hope in a week or two," he said on the air of Channel Five.
He noted Kyiv has all the necessary infrastructure for the competition, in particular, the venue for the contest can be the Sports Palace or the International Exhibition Centre.
Klitschko added the Sports Palace prior to the contest needs renovation, which might be complicated by the fact the object is owned by the state but not the city, and it has been leased for half a year.
The mayor noted the exhibition center premises are modern and meet all the standards.
As reported, Kyiv, Odesa and Dnipropetrovsk were qualified for the final of the tender to host Eurovision 2017.
