Turchynov: campaign to discredit him conducted to distract attention from strengthening state security
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Oleksandr Turchynov has refuted recent media reports on his alleged involvement in the monitoring of exchange offices and regards such materials as a campaign to discredit him.
"The online report states the head of Absolut-Finance financial company, which deals with forex exchange points, is the former assistant to my ex-assistant. Therefore, according to the author and his customers, it turns out I control thousands of exchange points," he wrote on his Facebook page.
Turchynov stressed he has nothing to do with the activities of this company. In addition, he says neither him nor his family have never had any relation to exchange points and their owners.
