Almost 41,000 soldiers sign contracts with army since year start

Some 40,800 soldiers have signed contracts with the army since the beginning of the year, the spokesperson for the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Lieutenant-Colonel Oleksiy Chernobai has said.

"Some 40,800 servicemen, of whom about 4,500 are army officers, have signed contracts with the army," he said at a briefing in Kyiv.
