Ukrainian Minister of Education and Science Lilia Hrynevych believes education is part of national security.
"Not only the Ministry of Education and Science, but also top officials should understand that education is also part of national security. Now it is popular to say we should strengthen the army therefore we take money from education – it cannot be this way," the minister said on the air of Channel Five.
Hrynevych noted without paying enough attention to education the state will not be able to get innovative economy and skilled professionals.
According to the minister, this could also lead to mass educational emigration.
