Poroshenko believes in development of mutually beneficial Ukrainian-Egyptian cooperation

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has congratulated President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah el-Sisi on the national holiday - the Day of the Egyptian Revolution of 1952.

"I am convinced mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries will be developed successfully and go for the benefit of the Ukrainian and Egyptian peoples," the head of state said.

According to Poroshenko, the non-permanent membership of Ukraine and Egypt in the Security Council of United Nations opens new prospects for coordination of joint efforts in resolving relevant issues of the international agenda and strengthening peace and security.

"Taking this opportunity, I wish you, Your Excellency, good health and success in public affairs, and the friendly people of Egypt peace, harmony and prosperity," the statement reads.
