OSCE demands people responsible for journalist Sheremet's death be brought to justice

OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media Dunja Mijatovic has demanded that the masterminds and perpetrators of journalist Pavel Sheremet's killing be brought to justice.

"Devastating news," Mijatovic said on Twitter on Wednesday morning with reference to the news about Sheremet's death in Kyiv.

"Perpetrators & mastermind behind this murder have to be brought before justice," she said.

Sheremet was killed when a car he was driving blew up in central Kyiv on Wednesday morning. Law enforcement officials have reported the blast had been caused by an explosive device.

Ukrainian prosecutors qualified the incident as premeditated murder.
