The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has changed the name of the city of Kirovohrad pursuant to the law on the condemnation of communist and national socialist (Nazi) totalitarian regimes in Ukraine and the prohibition of propaganda of their symbols.
Some 228 MPs supported corresponding decree No. 4222.
