U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry arrived in Ukraine on Thursday.
His plane landed at Boryspil Airport, the U.S. Embassy to Ukraine told Interfax-Ukraine.
The U.S. official is due to meet with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin and Verkhovna Rada Speaker Andriy Parubiy in Kyiv.
Kerry and the Ukrainian leaders will confer on the progress of reforms, implementation of the Minsk agreements and other issues.
Once the visit to Ukraine is over, the secretary of state will go to Warsaw for a NATO summit. He will be accompanying U.S. President Barack Obama at the summit on July 8.
