Ukraine reports two servicemen injured in Luhansk region
Two Ukrainian servicemen have been injured following shelling conducted by militants in Luhansk region on June 22, Luhansk Regional Military and Civil Administration said on Thursday.
According to the administration's report posted on its Facebook account, militants used weapons banned by the Minsk agreements, in particular, 120mm mortars.
"The terrorists fired multiple times with grenade launchers of various types and 120mm mortars in the direction of the outskirts of the town of Popasna yesterday evening. Moreover, in the evening the militants opened fire with 120mm mortars and self-propelled artillery systems in the direction of the village of Troitske in Popasna district. They shelled positions of Ukrainian troops near the village of Novozvanivka in Popasna district using 120mm mortars, self-propelled artillery systems, grenade launchers of various types, heavy-caliber machine guns and light weapons. During the shelling two of our servicemen were injured," the report said.
