Cancellation of sanctions against Russia depends on Donbas de-occupation
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said that the future of the sanctions against Russia depends on the de-occupation of Ukraine's east.
"The extension of sanctions [against Russia] is directly related to the process of de-occupation, the withdrawal of Russian troops from our territory, the cessation of the supply of arms, ammunition, equipment, ensuring easy access to the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to the whole territory, including the uncontrolled section of the Ukrainian-Russian border, the release of hostages, and the launch of the political process," the Ukrainian president said at a joint press conference with his French counterpart Francois Hollande in Paris on Tuesday.
