OSCE police mission in Donbas would help de-escalate violence - Poroshenko to OSCE PA president
It would be important to deploy an OSCE police mission in Donbas, as this would improve security and de-escalate the violence in the area, the Ukrainian presidential press service quoted President Petro Poroshenko as saying at a meeting with OSCE Parliamentary Assembly President Ilkka Kanerva.
Poroshenko informed Kanerva that the security situation in Donbas had worsened.
"President Poroshenko mentioned the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission's important role in controlling the implementation of the Minsk Agreements and ensuring the peace settlement process in Donbas," it said.
