Savchenko rejects ATO participant status and relevant social benefits
Ukrainian parliamentarian Nadia Savchenko, of the Batkivschyna faction, has announced on Thursday night that she had rejected the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) participant status and relevant social benefits.
"Today, on June 8, 2016, I refused from the ATO participant status, social benefits attached to it, and a land plot," Savchenko wrote on Facebook page.
At the same time, the parliamentarian stressed that her words should not be interpreted as a call for other ATO participants "who did not come disabled from this hybrid Russian-Ukrainian war" to reject these social benefits.
