Savchenko compares Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada to market, deputies to lazy schoolchildren
People's deputy Nadia Savchenko, who started working in the Verkhovna Rada on Tuesday, said that the work in the Ukrainian parliament did not cause her any difficulties.
"The first impression is that the work is like that of at a market," Savchenko told reporters at the parliament, describing her impressions from the first day of work in the Verkhovna Rada.
Savchenko also said that the members of parliament remind her of "lazy schoolchildren."
"Probably, because I saw them on television, I got the impression that I had worked here for a long time. I found my way around. I am not afraid of it. It would be more difficult for me to appear before people now, but here, with them, I am not afraid, and it is not difficult at all," she said.
